These three cats are sitting in front of a window, watching this very large dog as he walks through "their" back yard as its snowing. They're watching him very intently as if planning a defense strategy or an escape route.
I can imagine the middle cat saying: "Ok, so if he comes this way you're running left and you're running right. So.... which way do I go again?"
Aww, aren't my girls cute?!?! The problem is that they probably are planning their attack. How strange that cats are solitary animals, and dogs are pack animals, but the roles are reversed here.
Before I read the description the shadow in the backyard almost looked like a tiger..ha. I love how intently cats will focus on something. I'd love to know what's going on in their minds.

Yeah, they're young and very funny. They play and romp all day but when they saw that dog everything stopped, they gathered at the window and watched every moved he made. The smallest one was trying to pick a fight with him through the window. It was very funny.
Actually, I got that too. I left it dark because I liked the idea of their hiding, concealed watching a perceived threat. The funny thing is they were anything but scared of him. They all small enought to fit in his mouth but they were kind of taunting him.
I would too but then I wonder what they would be thinking when they're looking at me. Then I think maybe I just don't want to know because I would be afraid to go to sleep.

Quite dark tho in my opinion, but that might as well add to the feeling that they hide in order to attack
